Hi, everyone,
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my website. Please share it with others so they can learn how not to be a victim of domestic violence and abuse. You could save a life, even your own!

The CCAPL is in 44Th, place on the Pepsi Refresh Everything Project for the 25K. Oh, well, we tried really hard to win it, but maybe in September we can win the 50K if enough people support and vote for us! This 50K will be for the actual animal shelter construction, and with the 50K we have set aside, this could really help us out tremendously!

I've been so busy with fund-raisers, meetings, speaking engagements, and outside and inside chores, and company! Last Sunday we had a gal visit from Japan, and she is so sweet and such a lovely young lady. She was pretty tired from her long (19 hours) flight trip! She wanted a good old fashioned American picnic supper, so I made potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, grilled zucchini, and of course, cheeseburgers! She loved it all!

I'm back to work on my normal schedule now that the summer is almost over and school has started here. We had a terrible case last Friday of a gal with three kids, and another on the way. Her husband is very abusive towards her and the children and she finally had enough after he struck and threatened one of the kids. Court for him was no Monday so he is out of there! Let's sure hope she can stay safe and get some kind of life back for her and her darling children. The whole situation is so sad, but as many know, it happens every day!

I've blanched and frozen so many green beans these past three weeks, we have enough for quite a while! Plus, even though the peppers have not done well, I have managed to freeze some for stuffed peppers. Plus, the zucchini, as always, is doing well, and the tomatoes are really awesome, but, I can't eat them! I can eat them after they are cooked though. That is a good thing! I have frozen quite a few quarts already.

We have had visitors in our backyard almost all summer. A flock (?) of wild turkeys have been coming daily, sometimes even four-five times a day! There are four large hens and seven little ones. One of the larger ones must be the leader, as she is very bossy and seems to rule the others for food. Hubby has put corn out for Wilbur, the Chipmunk, and they really go for it! One of the larger ones even flies up in the tree to get it off of the corncob attached to the limb with a nail to hold it. They are something to watch. Clarabell, our Labrador, even chased them one day when they came close and wow, did they all take off flying!

I received an email from a really great bookstore to have a book signing! Wow! I am excited! It will be in October if they contact me to be there. Sure hope they do! I'll have it posted as soon as I know for sure I'm going to be there. October is "Domestic Violence Month" at hopefully the date I will be there is, Friday, Ocotber 7th.

Got to go for now. Going outside to get some trimming done and more!
Thanks again for stopping by, and great to hear from you too!
Take care, stay safe, be blessed, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine days!
Becky :)
