Sunday morning, September 20th, 2009

Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by this past week or so. I've been so busy with Tigger cat, garden, flower beds, work, and CCAPL I haven't had a chance to post anything!

Today I have a fund-raising event for the CCAPL at Lake Mohawk and I'll be there all day until 6 p.m. Then home and gather nourishment from hubby's fabulous spaghetti! I'll unload all the stuff later as I have to work on Monday and don't want it in my car.

Tigger-kitty cat spent four days in the Vet's clinic since Tuesday. Dr. Davis saw her on Tuesday and asked to keep her for a few days and treat her with different medication, mainly steroids to try and get her over the Vestibular Disease thing. Well, it worked! On Thursday I went in to visit Tigger and was prepared to put her down because when I talked with the receptionist on Wednesday before they closed, she said Tigger wasn't much better.

She meowed really loud when I spoke her name and when I got her out of the cage I picked her up and put her on my shoulder. She just started purring away and rubbing on my hand with determination. I put her down on the tile floor to see if she could walk or stand and she did okay. Jamie offered her some dry cat food and she started to eat it. So all signs pointed to a better recovery. I called the next morning (Friday), and they said I could bring her home. She has been really good. A little slight head tilt to the right, but not bad at all. She's been tearing around the house and trying Tooter's patience. Tooter doesn't put up with much from Tigger but they do play together now and then. Mainly chase each other through the house!

Hubby's online class is going well. I'll be glad when he is done with it all and gets his Masters. He's worked really hard for it.

The weather is changing. The trees are losing their leaves and fall is beginning. It is one of my favorite seasons. I worked all day yesterday around the house and in my flower beds, deadheading and pulling weeks, trimming back things, until my back said" Stop!" After three full-piled high wheelbarrow loads, I was done.

I start back on Mondays at work at my usual times. I'm hoping the three girls I talked to will be able to make it to W.I.S.H. They need all the help the can get to have a better life and feel good about themselves.

Gotta get going and get the car loaded, feed fish, give Tigger her medicine, have breakfast and head out the door by nine.

Stay safe and thanks again for stopping by!
Best regards,
Becky :)
