Hi, Everyone,

Thanks for visiting this past week! I've heard from some of you and I am so grateful for your correspondence, uplifting and encouraging words regarding by books. This means so much to me and I am so grateful that my books are helping someone out there dealing with domestic violence and abuse in their lives. My goal is to educate, encourage, and help anyone I can, move beyond the abuse and violence in their lives to have a better life for themselves and their children. They deserve the best life can offer. No one should suffer from abuse, violence, and the power and control an abusive person has over them. Many I have heard from realize they cannot change their abuser, but they can only change themselves to get away, feel better about themselves and move forward in having a better life. It is not an easy thing to do. Many circumstances in their lives make the effort seem to be at a snail's pace, but perseverance and a drive to survive can be their best assets in gaining the life they deserve. It can be done. Baby steps along the way, but determination and a will to survive should be their ultimate goal for themselves and their children.
(I own the mistakes or typos in the books, but hey, the message is there loud and clear!)

Tigger is doing very well. She is now going back down to the basement when we are down there and playing once again with her "Poon." (That's a plastic spoon for those who weren't sure what a "poon" is. Ha!)

Hubby is getting over a bad cold...his first "Official School Cold" of the school year. He gets one every year within 3 or 4 weeks of starting back teaching. He is still doing his on-line class for his Masters and it is going well.

The Power Company came and trimmed our trees out back this week as three of them were into the power lines. They did a really good job and also felled a dead Poplar tree we had out front for us. Now it is clean up time and we will probably do that today if the rain stops.

The pond water was down about four inches. We hooked up the elephant hose to the down spouting and now the water level is really good with the rain we had yesterday and during the night. I've got to get the net down in there and clean out some muck on the bottom before winter comes on.

The garden is pretty much done too. Although the remaining cherry tomatoes that are still ripening are going to the dogs most times before I can get to them! They just love them!

Today I'm going to put away things for the winter that I have set around outside for decorations- bird houses, garden and pond figurines, etc.

I worked a CCAPL fund-raiser yesterday at a local grocery store. We were outside under the overhang, but dang it was cold! I could not get warm after getting home and hubby turned on the electric heaters for me on low just to get the chill out of my bones! Sheesh. It is not supposed to be very warm this week either, so Fall is officially here and I'll just have to deal with the cooler weather.

Gotta go for now. Thanks again for stopping by. Stay safe, get away from violence and abuse and set your goals high for a better life!

Best regards,
Becky :)
