Hi, Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by this past week or so. I've been busy as usual preparing for the Benefit Dinner/Silent Auction Nov. 7th. Also, our cookbooks arrived the other day and we are anxious to sell them so we are having a cookbook sale at a local bank next weekend on Friday all day and Sat. morning. They are really nice and look great.

This past week the weather took a real dive! Brr! It was supposed to snow yesterday and Friday but I didn't see any. It was very cold outside yesterday when we had the dogs exercising for a few hours. On Friday, they were in my wild flower garden and flushed out a rabbit! It took off through the yard and went across the road to parts unknown. Well, all four Beagle dogs and Clara the Lab, were hot on the trail of it for over a half hour, back and forth in the yard and back to the wildflower garden. Sure a lot of howling going on from the Beagles! We wouldn't let them cross the road of course, but they sure had a great time tracking it! Then yesterday, they all were in the wildflower garden again looking for another one! Good exercise for them!

Hubby and I went down to Lowe's as he had to get a replacement grate for the fireplace downstairs. While there, I checked out new flooring for the kitchen. They had a pallet of covering that looked like wood flooring. Easy to install as the salesman said. So, hubby is going to measure the kitchen to see how much we need. He said he might be able to install it over his Christmas break. That would be cool!
Then I would like to get new counter tops too. Hubby said we could only do that in the summer when there is a lot of ventilation because of the glue that has to be used. I can wait!

I had a WISH group on Thursday night. I believe it was successful. At least I hope so. Time will tell if all the information I gave them helps them with their situations.

Father-in-law and his girlfriend are coming today in the afternoon for a visit and dinner. He brought fish last week and wants me to prepare it as he has had some before and thought it was delicious they way I fixed it. So, gotta get the house swept, dusted and spruced up for the company...also laundry! Busy day.

Later friends. Stay safe, and enjoy the fall foliage if you have it in your area. It is a beautiful time of season change.

Becky :)
