Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my website.
I've been extremely busy with so much going on around the house, company, flower beds, pond, CCAPL fund-raisers, and more. So, I haven't had a chance to give an update.

This past Monday, I had to testify in a court trial on behalf of my elderly neighbor who is and has been a victim of domestic violence and abuse from her husband of over 60 years. He was arrested for the second time in April (I called the police on him), for hitting her and more. (Previously in 2006). So, he went to a nursing home, and now thinks he can come back home and start with her all over again. He has the nursing home convinced he is a model patient. NOT! He was diagnosed by a doctor with dementia and psychotic disorder with delusional violent tendencies.

So, she filed for a CPO and got it on Monday! I was so relieved. This wonderful lady has been through so much with him, and it has to stop so she can at least have some peace and quiet and enjoy her family when they come to visit and stay for a little while. She is gaining some weight, and is more relieved now.

She had to hide upstairs in the bedroom for months every day to get away from his constant barrage of name calling, accusations of men in the house (upstairs and the basement), and of poisoning him with all the drugs she was getting (yeah, right), from her "men friends." He has threatened to kill her on many occasions. So, now that is over, it will be more peaceful in the neighborhood!

I've been doing many fund-raisers and applying for grants, and trying to get my flower beds and pond straightened out. I have to start working on a stone planter around most of the house soon. We have been getting water in the spring in our basement because the level of the earth behind the plant is lower than the yard, so it doesn't run off into the yard but stays in the planter! Hubby and I have a major project to tackle. Not exactly sure how it will be accomplished, but something has to be done and soon. I'll have many stones to move and put somewhere?? I will have many iris and other flowers to pull to transplant somewhere or give away! After that is done, the loads of dirt will have to be put in to make the ground level or at least sloped towards the yard for runoff. Sure hope it works!

Out front of our place is a square planter I made almost 28 years ago with treated telephone pole sections. They are starting to deteriorate and have to be replaced. I'm going to use stones from the planter and make another border with them around the planter out front. At least I hope that will work!

Plus, the company has been arriving, leaving, and more to come soon! We have a family reunion this Sat. after I get done with a fund-raisers, so it will be a busy day too!

Please check out the new articles on domestic violence and abuse of women who have died by the hands of their abusers on the home page under "News Alerts" posted by my computer guy. It just makes me sick to read about women who die and the abusers states how much they loved them! Good grief! They sit there while sentencing is handed down, crying, wanting people to think they loved the person they killed, and we should feel sorry for them??? I have no empathy for anyone who kills another human being through violence and abuse. My feelings? They are crying because they got caught, found guilty, and now have to answer for their actions! Probably the first time in their controlling lives they had to be accountable for their actions!

I have to go now and get started on some more research on grants, then get outside when it gets light and start on that planter and more work in the pond!

Stay safe, leave if you are in fear and scared for your life...there is help out there for you! You cannot fix him, only yourself to make your life better. You deserve it!

Best regards,
Becky :)
