Hi, Everyone,
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my website. I do hope you can get some valuable information here to help yourself or someone else going through domestic violence and abuse.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking at Christ Community Church in Dellroy, Ohio for the Victim Assistance Office on the WISH (Women In Safe Homes) program and domestic violence and abuse. My supervisor Karin, the Director, was also the speaker for the Victim Assistance Office. She gave a very informative speech.

The first speaker was a lady by the name of, Marcia Lathrop. She told of how she survived a botched abortion and how God used her to tell others of His love. Despite her abuse and abandonment, she has overcome all the odds. Marcia is having a book published soon. It is called, "Finding the Key"

I regret I did not get to hear her whole story as I had to set up a hot dog stand for the CCAPL that morning and did not arrive at the church until after 10 a.m. But what I did hear, was very impressive. One thing she stated that I totally agree with is, 'You can forgive your abuser, you just don't have to invite them to dinner!'

I was blessed too because I saw a survivor who was in my WISH group a few years ago. She is doing well. Her abuser is still trying to get back in her life, but she knows he will not change. She is trying to move on. I wish her well.

I was also blessed because I sold some of my books. Hopefully those that read them will be able to have a better understanding of a life of abuse and violence against them, plus also knowing a survivor can have a better life without it!

The dogs, cats, and hubby are fine here. Just enjoying the spring and the many birds singing!
I went down in the pond last week and pulled out clumps of spladderdock that is truly invading the pond! I was also able to clean out with a net numerous amounts of bottom debris I also caught 10 fish to take down to the neighbor's huge pond (small lake). There are way to many in our small pond and I have to catch many more! But, they are really smart little fish because as soon as I put the net in the water they disappear! I will get more eventually. Perseverance right??

Gotta go for now. Stay safe, take care, and learn all you can about domestic violence and abuse. Be a survivor, not a victim!

My best,
Becky :)

P.S. If you have been trying to go to the www.authornation.com website recently, it is down and has been down for quite some time. I have no idea when it will be up and running again.
