Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by my website. I really appreciate your visits! Learn all you can about domestic violence and abuse. You may save a life, even your own!

I am watching it snow right now and that is unreal! Yesterday and Sunday it was 70 degrees!
Go figure for Ohio weather!

I took a survivor from my WISH group to a speech I was to give a couple weeks ago. It was a "defender's group" and there was about 25 in the group. Men and women. I talked for a while and then my survivor spoke. She did an excellent job in telling them what all she had endured with her abuser-heroine-addicted-husband, and also how she made some wrong choices which resulted in her daughter taken out of the home as she had put her daughter at risk when her abusive husband went after her and hurt her. He also smacked the child in the face. She also told the group she was an aggressor also but usually in the fights that she knew when the fight was going to happen, she struck first to get her punches in before he totally bruised her body, which she new was coming. She is working really hard now to turn her life around so she can get her daughter back. It has been a long road and an emotional roller-coaster ride for her and for her daughter. I know she will make better choices as she sees she cannot change him, but she must change herself and her thinking to move on with her life and for her daughter's sake, I believe she will.

I have been so busy it is just about nuts around here. I finally was able to get outside and get some yard and flower bed work done, but so much to do yet.

Our pond took a real hit this past winter so hubby and I have a major project for spring through early summer to get it back in shape. One thing good about when the whole liner hooved up in February, we were able to remove many fish and take about 60 of them to the neighbors' lake. There are about 30 left now and that is plenty for our little pond.

The cats and dogs are doing good. Woodie is starting to slow down as he is 18 1/2 years old now. Poor old fellow. He tries and is such a good dog.

Just had company from Missouri on Sunday. Hubby's brother was her visiting and is staying with their Dad in Canton. Dad had his bottom teeth taken out and is living on soup, soup, and more soup. He has lost 10 pounds this past week! Easter Sunday will be fish for Dad, and sliced ham on the grill for hubby and I. Sometimes you just have to make exceptions and not follow the normal traditional meal and improvise! Dad won't get his lower dentures for another four weeks, but once he gets his stitches out, he should be able to eat soft meat I suppose.

I have to get more computer work done so I am going to close for now. Hopefully I will do another post soon.

Take care and be safe!

My best,
Becky :)
