Christmas morning- Dec. 25, 2014

Hi, Everyone,
Today is Christmas! Merry Christmas to all! I'm posting a poem I wrote in 2011.
Company from Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri! More about that next week!

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS"

"TODAY WE CELEBRATE!" - By Becky Conrad © December 2011

Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Today we celebrate the One who gave us life.

Laughter, joy, sharing and caring.

Peace on earth is in our hearts,

it can only begin with me.

Peace on earth, is within each one of us,

with the grace and love of Thee.

He can sustain us, beyond our understanding,

He can lift us up, that our hearts can soar,

beyond the stars, the heavens, beyond time,

we need not want for more.

With each new sunset, and each new dawn,

if given the privilege, peace on earth within, can be mine.

So give a hug and a warm smile,

Wrap His love around you.

Savor the memories of days gone by,

Revere in the future of loved ones nearby.

Celebrate today!

It is a free gift of priceless treasure.

An eternal gift to cherish beyond measure.

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Hi, everyone!
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my website. I do hope you can get some valuable information here on my website to help yourself or to help others who may have been or may be experiencing domestic violence and abuse in their life or your own.

It has been a really crazy month! In early November I hurt my knee when helping hubby with some huge logs we dragged up from the woods. When I unhooked the huge log from the chain, I stepped over it to get to the tractor to go back down and get more, but that is when the branch on the log caught my coat, so as I was turning to untangle myself from the branch, I was already stepping over it and when I landed on my right leg, I felt something snap in my knee. Uh-oh! Been there and done that before! So it began to swell, and then hurt. So, I limped around for a few days, went and saw my Orthopedic surgeon, and he thought I tore my lateral meniscus by the knee cap on the right side of it.

Well, after a couple attempts to get an MRI (the first machine broke-but I didn't do it!), I finally got the results a week ago. My meniscus was not torn, (thank you Lord!), but I showed the Dr. the thing (?) on my left thumb knuckle that just popped up about two weeks ago. He took a look at it and said, "Oh, we better get that off right away. It could be another squamous cell carcinoma." (He removed one on my right hand back in 2006.)

So, I had surgery on my left thumb this past Friday, and the Dr. also removed a bone spur on my knuckle bone. So, I won't know the exact results until Dec. 16th. when I go back to get the stitches out and also the biopsy report.

So, between Dr. appointments, MRI's, CCAPL fundraisers, meetings, taking care of Father-in-law and wrapping up his house sale, getting things done at his new "digs" down the road from us, plus housework, work, and the critters that reside here, plus husband, I've been busy!

We are going to have many visitors for Christmas! Hubby's two brothers and their wives, and one nephew (we think-but possibly both), will be coming for Christmas. They will all stay with Father-in-law at his new place. But, I will have many things to get done before they get here! Mainly clean my house and finish the decorating, planning the Christmas meal, and other meals I'm sure they will partake of while they are here.

Tuesday I'm going shopping for gifts. I did manage to get the tree up and decorated. The cats are happy about it. Tigger likes to lay underneath it!

Well, Father-in-law just arrived and I have to discuss some things with him, and finish the laundry. So, until next time, stay safe, and learn all you can about domestic violence and abuse to save a life, even your own!

Take care, and be blessed!
I'll blog again at Christmas!
Becky :)
