Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my website.
It has been a crazy two months! One thing after another happening, then getting sick, then fundraisers to do, and I just didn't have the extra time to do a blog.
So here goes it for now.
Back on Feb. 4th, I went out to the garage to go into town and get the CCAPL's mail before the meeting that night. I thought I hit the button to raise the garage door, but, when I started to back out, the door was still shut! Oops! Well, the garage door was buckled outward, and the roller on the right side at the bottom was out of the tract. So, I needed to get going and would deal with it all when I got back from town. ( managed to maneuver my van back and forth in the garage to get out hubby's side!) So, after I got back, I got a crow bar and a hammer, and was able to get the roller back in the tract, but after numerous attempts at pulling, pushing, over and over, I could not get the panels to go back into shape. So, I had to wait until hubby got home, assess the damage, and go from there. When he got home, (I was standing in front of the damaged door), and he said, "What happened?" I said, "I'll tell you as soon as you park your car and get out." I told him I backed into the door. He just shook his head and went in to change clothes. After he came back out, I was in the yard with the Beagle dogs, and I heard a loud sound. I raced over to the garage and hubby hand managed to get the two panels back into place by pushing on them with his foot! Whew! Just a few dents and places that are buckled a little, but it doesn't look to bad! Hubby said when it warms up, he might be able to pound them out some to make it look better. Okay, that will work!

Then the next day I went into work at the V.A. office and after almost an hour of being there, my back started to hurt really bad. I left and went to my chiropractor. He said I was really a mess and believes I bulged a disc in my low back from all the pulling and pushing on the garage door! Well, I was in a lot of pain and could hardly walk, sit, or stand. So, the next six weeks I spent going to the chiropractor almost every day if not every other day. Finally after about 8 weeks, (about now), it is finally better (about 75%), but he feels my left hip is causing a lot of problems too with my back and not being able to get it to stay and heal better. Welcome to getting older!

Then being busy with selling tickets and working on the APL's spaghetti dinner, (which was last night), and getting things organized, that kept me busy. Then I was going to go to a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) seminar but got really sick on the Friday before. Hubby had a week off from school for spring break and he got sick on the Friday before it started and was sick all week. I got it on Friday of the week he was off, and was down with the flu and fever for three days, and totally out of it for five days. Bad cough with this crazy virus-flu, or whatever it was. So, for Easter dinner, hubby made meatloaf! I was to sick to cook. Okay, that is over, almost.

I have had some really bad cases of domestic-abuse survivors at the V.A. office. Some of them are getting back on their feet and trying to move on, but is has been very difficult for them. I do what I can to help them feel better about themselves and tell them they deserve so much better in life. It is a slow process at times, and many of the women do not feel worthy. At least they are trying. I feel so badly for them and for what they have gone through and still are trying to cope with everything and the children involved as well. One jerk took a woman's two year old and took of with the child. She was absolutely in a panic state not knowing what he would do to the child (he wasn't a good father and didn't even know how to take care of the child or offered to help with the little girl), and the Mom was just about nuts with the whole thing. I guess he had the right to take the child as it was his, but this put the woman in a frenzy, trying to get her daughter back. Finally after a while, he did return the child. Idiot!

So, I'm hoping at tomorrow's WISH, we can get more accomplished and the women who come, can find solace, peace, and understanding and more helpful information for them to further their goal of getting their life and their children's lives back without the violence and abuse against them.

So, until next time,
Be safe and tell others about my website so they can learn all they can and have a better life for themselves!
Take care, and be safe,
Becky :)
