Hi, Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by my website. Sure hope you can get some good out of all the resources I have on my website.

Well, another birthday has come and gone. It seems to roll around so quickly each year!
Now the summer will be winding down, and hubby will be returning to teaching at the high school next week! Boy, did the summer fly by!

After I got back from Tenn. visiting my sister and family down there, we had company for 10 days straight! Then, hubby and I finished up some projects at his Dad's place down the road. New skirting for around the mobile home, then sided the garage, then hubby installed baseboard heaters in the three adjoining bedrooms as there wasn't any! So, that is all done. We even managed to get some things done around here. I've been watering the plants in the garden as it has not rained for almost three week! We had so much rain in May, June and the first part of July, it was incredible! Many of the vegetable plants took a beating and the Zucchini is pretty much shot, but a little is coming back. Don't know if I'll get any at all. Lost one cabbage and another doesn't look good out of the three I planted. The regular tomatoes lost almost all of their leaves, and they are essential for blooms for form. Since I've been watering them, they are starting to come back a little. I just picked about 50 Roma tomatoes for father-in-law! I have been doing green & yellow beans like crazy, and also tomatoes and green peppers. I blanch them (not the peppers), and freeze them in quart bags. Works out well for in the freezer downstairs. Especially during the winter months when I make a lot of soup!

Buddy, the new rescue Beagle is learning to be a happy dog. Don't know if he ever was, as someone severely beat him. Even broke his hind right let in two! He had surgery on it to put a pin in, and got the pin out after 12 weeks, and was also neutered. Lucy and he get along very well, and we are trying to teach him about ball fetching. He is really afraid of the ball, but will go and pick it up and play a little on his own. It will take time. Lucy and Buddy go into the wild flower garden everyday and see what they can find. One day the treed a cat! That was funny. The cat stayed up in the tree for hours and then hubby saw it in the field before it got dark. Don't know who it belongs to. Someone probably dumped it off or it wandered away. It is gone now and we haven't seen it since.

I did a dumb thing. Hubby was helping me trim back the iris leaves that were hanging down. He held them back with a rake, and I was using the electric hedge trimmers. Well, shucks, some how I must have reached my hand down while I was trimming and ouch! Almost took the top of my little finger off! He had to take me to the local Stat Care and I had to have four stiches to sew it up. Nasty! Hurt like crazy and thumped for a few days. I took the stitches out myself after about eight days. It is still tender but it will be okay.

I haven't had may gals for WISH almost all summer. Many of them can't afford to pay a baby sitter to attend. I'm sure it will pick up after school starts. I did have one nasty case about a month ago. He really beat her up badly. She has to have surgery on a sinus cavity as he broke it with his fist. Nasty man. She is away from him and I sure hope she stays away. She told me he has done things to her before but never this bad. I told her, "You may end up dead if you go back!" She agreed.

Well, I'm getting ready to watch the ball game with father-in-law. I kind of hurt my back the other day pulling out weeds around the pond. So, I'm resting today, somewhat.

Take care all of you and stay safe!
Until next time,
Becky :)
