Hi, Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my website. Share with others so than can learn about domestic violence and abuse and be survivors!

Well, for the last several weeks, the two turkey hens and nine little ones have been visiting our backyard on a daily basis. Mornings, late afternoons, and early evening before they retire to the woods. It is a joy to see them! Plus, with all the other critters about, it is quite a scene at times! Wilbur and Wilma the chipmunks, then the squirrels, and of course all the birds at the feeders. At times the frogs start their throaty songs to add to it all!

My birthday is now over, and it will seem like summer will be coming to an end soon. I'm not looking forward to winter again in Ohio, but of course will make the most of it. Always do!

I've been so busy with so much going on. Hubby and I replaced our kitchen floor, master bathroom floor, and the foyer floor with fantastic peal-and-stick vinyl tile. It looks awesome and so easy to clean! It is brown highlights with different shades of blue and tan mixed in. Hubby did a great job!
We are also getting a new shower installed soon. Hubby is taking out the old shower and making a linen closet. Plus, we took out the old garden tub, and now have it out back by the woodshed to collect rain water for the garden. Hubby is also going to do the guest bathroom floor with tile left over.  (He threw is back out last Tuesday and has been suffering all week. Getting a little better now.)

Speaking on the garden---oh my! With three weeks of rain, the garden was a total mud place. I nor hubby could not run our tillers in it for almost a month! Every weed had to just be pulled out by hand in the mud! The tomato plants really took a hit with all the moisture, and are just about toast now. Not going to get many. Although the Roma's are really doing well as they are in the upper part of the garden where it dried out better after the rain stopped. Hubby actually had to put a long stake in by one Roma plant, and the plant is about 5 feet tall now!! Wow! Of course the Romas that are ripening, Lucy, the Beagle, is swiping them! Hubby's first corn did not do well, but the second planting of the Candy Corn is about ready to pick! Delicious corn too!

Hubby will start back to teaching school in just a couple weeks. Boy, the summer sure has gone fast!

My brother and his daughter, and her son, came down on Friday for my birthday! We sure had a great time and I shared some veggies from the garden with her. They took hubby and I too lunch in town. We visited for a while afterwards and then my great nephew and I played some pool. He won the first game and I won the second game by default as he put the eight ball in by error! Then hubby took me out to dinner for my birthday-sweet!

I have had some speaking engagements and I am still selling my books! Yea!

Gotta go for now, so until next time, be safe and learn all you can to be a survivor not a victim of domestic violence and abuse. You deserve the best life can offer-go for it!

My best,
Becky :)
