Hi, Everyone,
I thank you for stopping by these past few weeks. I sure hope you can pass on the valuable information on my website.

I attended a "Strangulation" seminar at Mercy Hospital in Canton for work. WOW!
Did you know that when a person puts their hands or uses other means (belt, rope, etc.) around another person's neck this is called "strangulation?" yes. Not choking!
Call it what it is! And, this is a felony because it is an attempt to strangle that person and possibly cause death! Plus, sometimes the external skin does not show anything right away, but internally things are happening! Did you know that some people who have been strangled can die up to 12-48 hours later as the pressure applied to the throat can cause swelling of the brain, throat and/or tongue later on and block the airway of the victim and possibly cause death! Very scary! Plus, there can be signs of finger/thumbprints behind the ears too not just on the neck? Plus, when there is strangulation, petechiae (small red spots) erupt in different areas such as the face, throat, eyes, ears, inside the ears, and any point above the level of the collar bone and even in the scalp underneath the hair!

Choking is when: someone chokes on food, or the airway is blocked by a substance.
So, use the proper term to define what someone has done to you or someone you know who has gone through this horrific experience. This should ALWAYS be reported and NEVER TAKEN LIGHTLY!

Spring has sprung around here when the weather went into the 80's last week. Our row of cherry bushes came out with thousands of cherry blossoms and what a pretty picture. I just hope the freeze we had this week didn't do them damage and no cherries will be had! Last spring there were only a few blossoms on each bush, so I was really surprised to see so many this spring. Plus, the blueberry bush is full of blossoms too, as is the one remaining peach tree. I even had my Azalea bushes bloom already as has the Butterfly Bush coming out in leaves and that usually doesn't happen until late April or early May! Crazy spring! It will be interesting to see what makes it and what doesn't.

The dogs and cats are fine. The cats have been enjoying the windows open when it was warm. They just couldn't decide which window to go and sit at, and they were tired at the end of each day! The dogs have enjoyed fetching their balls and the warmer weather. Although it cooled down some this week, it is supposed to warm up again soon.

Company is coming today. Hubby's dad and brother will be here soon. We will play Euchre for a while and then go outside and enjoy the weather, then have steaks on the grill. (Dad likes to bring those for all of us!)

Stay safe, and thanks again for stopping by.
Becky :)
