Hi, everyone!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my website. I really appreciate your comments and also your messages.
I have been so busy with company from out of state, fundraising activities, work, and so much, so I have not been able to blog for a while. Sorry.

I have had numerous women in my WISH group the past two months. Ages range from women in their 30's, to women in their 70's and 80's!

It is amazing how domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone of any age. Some of these women have been going through the abuse for many years, but were to embarrassed to let anyone know. This happens and is normal. We just keep trying to fix our abusers but we cannot! They have to fix themselves! Many are not willing to do so, but keep trying to keep the power and control over another person. It is sad because many women do not want their marriage to end, just the abuse. They want to be loved and respected. Abuse and violence against another person is not either one.

Here in our area, more cases are being presented due to the increase in population of our rural area because of the oil and gas industry coming in and producing more jobs. I guess creating jobs is certainly okay, but the increase in domestic violence and abuse and also theft, other felonies, and more cases are starting to increase. That is not okay!

I rescued four kitties back in September. I took them to a barn of a farmer who said I could. Two of the kitties went to Akron to live with a family back in September. The other two are now at my house! The farmer was not feeding them very well, and I just did not think they would survive the winter, so I brought them home. They are in the basement as of now, and our two grown cats are not happy! Tigger went downstairs yesterday to meet them, and growled and hissed and went back upstairs. Callie took one look at the two kitties and flew up the stairs and has not been back down since! Too funny. I'm sure they will be okay in a few days. It takes time for them to adjust to one another.

Hubby is doing well and has had two extra days off from school because of 6 inches of snow that fell yesterday and last night! We are supposed to get another inch today. This will make traveling difficult for some, and hopefully the roads will be clearer tomorrow for traveling. Father-in-law is coming down tomorrow for turkey dinner. Hope the roads are cleared for his travel. Otherwise hubby and I will have a lot of turkey to eat! The turkey is almost thawed out and I will definitely have to go ahead and cook it!

We will be getting out-of-town guest for Christmas from Iowa. Looking forward to their arrival and visit. Hubby's brother and his wife will be coming. We always have a great time together.

Until next time, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Stay safe and learn all you can about domestic violence and abuse. Do not be a victim. No one deserves abuse and violence against them.

Take care and be blessed,
Becky Conrad :)
