Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by my website!
I apologize for not blogging for a good while. I have been so busy with so much going on and just have not had a chance to do so.

One thing in particular, I and another volunteer have been doing is taking care of 12 abandoned, starving- cats and kittens at a home about five miles from where I live. This has been going on since September 9th. The renter was evicted on September 3rd, and they had nothing to eat for almost a week! They are doing better and we have found homes for all of them but it has been tough as there are way too many cats and kittens everywhere! Spay and neuter at an early age sure helps this and it only has to be done once not every year! Today we are going to take six of the cats to homes that said they would take them. Then on Wednesday I will be taking two more, and the others will go to a lady that has a horse barn and they will be well taken care of, but we have to trap them first as they are a little wild. But they will also be spayed or neutered to prevent more litters!

I attended a two-day seminar/workshop at R.G. Drage this past Thursday and Friday. It was really good and the speaker was excellent.

On Tuesday evening, October 2nd, my supervisor and a survivor and myself, will be going to speak to a support group of offenders. This should be interesting! So, I have to prepare my speech for this talk.

The garden is winding down, and the fall season is upon us. Hubby has mowed off most of the garden but I still have peppers to pick, and also dig up the last half of a row of sweet potatoes. Everything else is pretty much over with. The dogs are fine as are the kitty cats.

My WISH group is still going. Some of the women from earlier in the summer have moved on and hopefully having a better life than they did before. It is all about power and control. Learn all you can about domestic violence and abuse. Do not let yourself become a victim! You do not deserve this kind of life-no one does!

Take care, and be safe!
My best,
Becky Conrad :)
