Hi, Everyone!
Thank for stopping by my website. I sure hope you get some valuable information on here to help yourself or someone you know with domestic violence and abuse.

Time sure has a way of going quickly by, and it has been a very interesting month past. My back is finally mostly better, but I still have to be careful what I do. The other day I had to move the refrigerator out to try and get Callie-Kitty's mouse, but to no avail. I couldn't get it on top of the coils underneath, so I just went ahead and cleaned the coils, the back part, (what a mess!), scrubbed the walls, floor, and the sides of the frig while I was at it. Glad it is on rollers, but still, it was hard to move out and back. I had to use an ice pack later and some Advil, but by the next day, my back was okay, just a little sore.

I'm planning a trip to Tennessee to visit my sister in July. She is making all the arrangements for us to visit some neat places. I'm looking forward to going. She and her family will be up for our great nephew's high school graduation party on June 16th. It will be a good visit and a great celebration. He is such a good young man and I'm so proud of him and his accomplishments. Hard to believe he is 18 years old now and graduating! He is going to go to college, but not sure which one yet.

I have daffodils at various places around the house and flower beds that are ready to bloom. It will be so nice to smell their wonderful fragrance. They are one of my favorite flowers, especially in the spring. The crocus have been blooming for a couple weeks and I've noticed the tulips are coming up too. We really haven't had a bad winter, with just a few snow days and some cold days down to about 10 degrees.

The dogs are doing well and Clara and Lucy still love to fetch their balls each evening. I have noticed Clara is slowing down some. She is about 8 year old, but certainly not old by "dog standards" but still, she rests more after playing ball or running around with Lucy chasing each other.

I took some fish out of the pond yesterday, and took them down to the neighbor's pond. I'm going to try and catch some more today. There are just to many for our little pond.

Work is going well. I have been having some group sessions on Thursday nights as I have some survivors who can't make it during the Monday morning sessions. They are doing well and learning more each time. It is so difficult for them at times, especially financially, but they are determined to make it.

I finished two grants for the CCAPL yesterday. Each one was over 150 pages! That is a lot of ink, paper, copies and paper clips, but necessary! The CCAPL is now working on getting the animal shelter plans together for our architect, and then submit them to the state for approval. Once they are approved, we can continue construction as funding is reached.

If you get a chance, read Lundy Bancroft's book: "Why Does He Do That?" - Inside the minds of angry and controlling men. It is a real eye-opener and he tells it like it is. Absolutely a must read to educate yourself on domestic violence and abuse.

Until next time, please take care and be safe.
My best to you!
Becky :)
