Hi, Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy New Year!
May each and everyone of you be blessed this year with good health and a life without violence or abuse!

I have had as many as seven girls in my WISH group the past three months. I have been very busy! Some of these women have put up with abuse and violence for years and they have finally had enough of the name-calling, degrading of their bodies and minds, the power and control another person had over them, the scare tactics, (I'm going to kill myself!-go ahead jerk!) the mind games, the financial power, the physical abuse, then mental abuse, the girlfriend (s) on the side, on and on!!!  I am so proud of each of them for trying to make their life better. They deserve a life free of abuse and violence! Be assertive, set boundaries, set goals!

The winter is in full swing again here, and it is going to be in the single digits this week plus snow everyday! Goodness. We had a little reprieve this past week, but here we go again! All I can say is hopefully it will kill off many unwanted insects that seem to be escalating in reproducing in the spring - fall  months.  I have either killed or put outside at least 25 yucky stink bugs that have gotten inside! Even the cats stay away from them! Some times I am sitting at the computer working away and all of a sudden it sounds like an old B52 bomber is getting close to me! Sheesh they make a lot of noise when they are flying and coming in for a landing!

The dogs are doing well. Woodrow is getting pretty old at almost 19 years old! Lucy had her teeth cleaned at the vet last week and Clara is scheduled the end of Jan. to have hers done.

The two kitties I rescued back in September are here at the house now. Brought them here before Thanksgiving.  I previously took them to a barn at a farm, and the hired hand wasn't feeding them very regularly and the little ones were really hungry when I would stop to check on them almost daily. So hubby agreed to bring them home. They spent the month in the (heated) basement and the two older cats were not happy about the whole thing. But, it has been over a month now that they have graduated to the upstairs, so things are better. (Minnie was spayed and Maxie was neutered.)

Father-in-law is coming today. Since the time change and because it gets darker so much earlier now, I have to prepare the large Sunday meal around 12:30 or 1 p.m. as Dad has to leave around 4 p.m. to get back to his home before it gets dark. He doesn't do well driving at night. (Neither do I!).

I do not get a chance as often as I used to for posting on my website, but I will when I can!

Stay safe and remember, no one deserves violence and abuse against them!

My best,

Becky Conrad :)
